Yury Yakovenko
was born in 1965 in the village of Smolianinov Shkotovskiy district. He moves with his parents to Minsk in 1966. Then
1977 Attends Boarding School of Music & Fine Art.
Michail Makarenko and Valentina Sventachovskaja were his first teachers
for seven years prior to entering the Arts Academy.
1984-1986 Serves the Soviet army.
1986 Enters the Minsk Theatre and Art Institute (department of graphic arts).
1992 Graduates from the Belarus Academy of Arts.
His Diploma work was "Archipelago. A Song." Five prints (etching,
mezzotint) were created under supervision of his teacher Vladimir Basalyga.
which also won the Grand Prix in Spain.
1992 Start to work for Belarusfilm studio.
1993 Moves to Grodno
1994 Becoming a Member of the Belarus Artists’ Union.
2007 Becoming the House's of Graphics in Marienfred (Sweden) shareholder.
